SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "We Fall," the latest episode of Arrow.

John "Spartan" Diggle just got a costume upgrade. In "We Fall," the latest episode of Arrow, Oliver Queen gifted Diggle a new outfit in order to celebrate Diggle's return to the team.

At the beginning of the season, Diggle took over as Green Arrow for Oliver, so that Oliver could keep a promise to his son and retire from vigilante life. However, as story progressed, a secret about Diggle came to light: he had suffered a terrible injury in the explosion on Lian Yu, and he developed degenerate nerve damage as a result. Because of his worsening condition, Diggle was forced to give up the mantle and sit out a few missions.

Recently, Felicity and Curtis worked together to develop a cure for Diggle's injury. Using the same technology that fixed Felicity's paralysis, they developed a microchip that steadied his tremor. As such, Diggle was officially able to rejoin Oliver and Felicity on Team Arrow. He felt well enough to join Oliver in this episode's mission, where he helped defend innocent Star City citizens from Cayden James' forces.

Before Diggle returned to action in "We Fall," Oliver unveiled the new Spartan costume, which he had requisitioned from Team Flash's Cisco Ramon, aka Vibe. The new costume ditches the overall gray look for black with red accents. He also has a helmet to match; it follows the same design as the one he wore in Season 5, with a red-and-black color scheme.

For three seasons, Diggle went into the field with nothing to conceal his identity. When it was announced that he was finally getting a uniform in Season 4, fans were excited to see the finished product. Unfortunately, the fan reaction to Diggle’s first helmet was not very enthusiastic, with many fans on social media likening it to Magneto’s helmet in the “X-Men” movies. His costume got an overhaul for Season 5, though it stayed in line with the initial design. This latest look is a much larger departure from that, complete with a new color scheme.

Starring Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer, Arrow airs Thursdays at 9pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, Echo Kellum, Juliana Harkavy, Rick Gonzales, Willa Holland and more.
