We've known for a while now that Manu Bennet, the original man behind the Deathstroke mask will be returning to The CW's Arrow for the show's sixth season, but now series star Stephen Amell has confirmed the news in person at the the recent Heroes and Villains Fest.RELATED: Arrow Season 6 Premiere Title RevealedSpeaking during an on-stage interview at the event, Amell said “I can report that Manu Bennett is back to being a part of the show, and I think we will see him multiple times this year, which is awesome.” The exchange was captured by a Arrow fan @wineandwatch and then posted on Twitter.

While Deathstroke appeared in the show's 100th episode during its fifth season, the character was portrayed by a different actor on that occasion.

At the same event, Amell teased that “we have somebody returning to the show this year that we have not seen since Season 1.” He also revealed that his character would be getting some new accommodation in season 6 and that the show's flashbacks would continue, and would likely focus on other characters going forward. “They are a part of the show’s DNA,” he said. “I would expect to see them on a relatively regular basis.”

Starring Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer, Arrow returns Thursday, October 12 at 9pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey and Willa Holland.
