With the production of Arrow’s final episode currently underway, Stephen Amell recently revealed on Twitter that co-star Emily Bett Rickards would return for the series finale.
"There’ll be a lot of news coming out about our final episode over the next few months," Amell wrote. "I prefer when you hear it from us. Welcome back Emily."
Now, Arrow creator and consulting producer has Marc Guggenheim offered his own reaction to Rickard’s return, while teasing more mysterious comebacks.
”I prefer it, too,” Guggenheim joked, in answer to Amell’s tweet. “We couldn't be happier or more thrilled. No other way to do our finale.” Then, he added: “You'll find out about more old friends returning in the coming weeks...”

The first three episodes of Arrow’s eighth and final season have already featured the return of actors from the series’ past. These comeback appearances have included Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen, Lexa Doig as Talia Al Ghul, and Colin Donnell and John Barrowman as Tommy and Malcolm Merlyn.
Airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Arrow's final season stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary, Katie Cassidy as Black Siren, Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak, Joseph David-Jones as Connor Hawke and Ben Lewis as William Clayton-Queen.
