As Season 7 of Arrow has replaced the DCTV series' usual trope of flashbacks with flash-forwards, a familiar face from the Arrowverse's potential future has returned.

Connor Hawke, who previously had a guest appearance on Season 3 of Legends of Tomorrow, will appear in flash-forwards as a recurring character for the remainder of the season with Joseph David-Jones reprising his role as John Diggle's adult son.

This version of the Diggle's son is described as the character's adopted son in the future while David-Jones' previous appearance in the Arrowverse was as the adult incarnation of Diggle's biological son, John Diggle, Jr., inadvertently created by Barry Allen's tampering with the timeline on The Flash.

With Hawke appearing throughout the second half of Season 7's flash-forwards, perhaps the temporal discrepancy will be addressed as viewers see more of the Arrowverse's dark future.
