Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is the girlfriend of President Donald Trump's son Donald Trump Jr., gave an emphatic speech at the Republican National Convention last night, catching the attention of everyone across the political spectrum. This includes Arrow's Colton Haynes, who decided to have a little fun with the address.
Haynes posted his parody on Twitter, adding Purge-like sound effects to Guilfoyle's speech to give it a more ominous tone and feel. He can then be seen panicking with his cat Sammy as he seeks escape.
Released in 2013, James DeMonaco's The Purge takes place in an alternate future where the United States sanctions a 12-hour annual period in which all crime — including murder — is legal.
The 2020 Republican National Convention began yesterday with the nominations of Donald Trump and Mike Pence as the Republican nominees for president and vice president, respectively. Guilfoyle gave her keynote address later in the evening, and was joined by other speakers Representative Matt Gaetz, Representative Jim Jordan, former ambassador Nikki Haley, Senator Tim Scott and Trump Jr.
The convention continues today with Secretary Mike Pompeo, Senator Rand Paul, First Lady Melania Trump and many of President Trump's children.
