According to Variety, Sydelle Noel (GLOW) has joined the cast of Arrow: Season 6; she will play an FBI agent named Samanda Watson, who will be investigating Oliver Queen's connection to the masked vigilante known as the Green Arrow. She will appear on the CW's DC Comics-based series in a recurring capacity.

The show's producers describe Noel's character as an intelligent and no-nonsense investigator who will not rest until the truth about Green Arrow is revealed.

This announcement comes just after series producer Marc Guggenheim mentioned his desire to add more women to DCTV shows. Diversity and representation has become a key element to the Arrowverse, and Noel's casting is just the latest example of that.

She will also join new season six regulars Juliana Harkavy and Katie Cassidy, who have portrayed the new and former Black Canary, respectively.

Noel has most recently appeared on Netflix's GLOW, which was released in June. She is also set to appear in Marvel's Black Panther movie as a member of the Dora Milaje. Introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War, the Dora Milaje are the all-female bodyguards of the Wakandan royal family.

Starring Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer, Arrow returns Thursday, October 12 at 9pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, Willa Holland and more.
