The CW has released a new trailer advertising “Arrow,” the network’s popular superhero television show based off the “Green Arrow” comic book series by DC Comics. The trailer, dubbed the “Getting Good” trailer, features numerous action-packed moments and an abbreviated duel between series protagonist Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell, and the mysterious villain Prometheus.

The show came back from its midseason break this Wednesday with the episode titled “Who Are You?”, which dealt with the ramifications of a deceased character’s return. “Arrow” was the catalyst for what has become colloquially known the Arrowverse, the CW’s interconnected network of television shows that includes “The Flash,” “Legends of Tomorrow” and, to a lesser extent, “Supergirl.” The show was recently renewed for a sixth season, prompting a heartfelt social media response from Amell.

While “Arrow” has generally fared well critically, it has never reached the same level of widespread appeal achieved by its brighter, more playful sister show, “The Flash.” However, the show looks to find compelling storylines this season by delving deeper into Queen’s Russian mafia connections and dangling the identity of the mysterious Prometheus just out of viewers’ reach.

Starring Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer, "Arrow" airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, John Barrowman, Willa Holland and more.
