Arrow will come to a close with Season 8, but that may not be the end of Stephen Amell's role in the Arrowverse. In a Facebook live video, the longtime CW actor teased that he could return even after the series concludes.

"Something tells me, even when I'm done, I won't be gone," he said with a smile. "If you've watched the Arrowverse, you should understand that."

Since the events of "Elseworlds," last fall's three-show Arrowverse crossover, fans have speculated that Oliver Queen will sacrifice his life to save the other heroes in "Crisis on Infinite Earths." After all, he struck a deal with the Monitor to save Supergirl and Flash, though his end of the bargain was never fully revealed. Amell's announcement about the end of the series lends credence to that idea.

Even if Oliver does die in "Crisis on Infinite Earths," that doesn't mean Oliver is banished from the Arrowverse forever. After all, the shared universe brings characters back from the dead all the time in a number of creative ways. For instance, Amell could return in a flashback or as an alternate-universe version of Oliver Queen. What's more, with both The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow's ability to travel through time, one of Arrow's sister series could easily visit him in an earlier era. The Arrowverse has provided plenty of ways for the character return, regardless of his death or whether or not he has his own series.
