Arnold Schwarzenegger is officially heading back to his action adventure roots in the first teaser trailer for the upcoming spy series FUBAR.

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for FUBAR, which shows the former Terminator star looking right at home firing off gun shots and driving fast cars. Schwarzenegger even alludes to his past as the near-unstoppable killing machine in the teaser, confidently saying, "I'm back, baby." However, his co-star Fortune Feimster quickly snaps him back to reality with a "sack tap," telling the action star, "That's what you get for being sentimental." FUBAR marks not only Schwarzenegger's return to leading man status but also his first starring role in a live-action television series.

FUBAR was first announced by Skydance Television as an untitled spy television series in August 2020, with Netflix joining the project that November. "Everywhere I go, people ask me when I’m going to do another big action comedy like True Lies," Schwarzenegger said in a statement that accompanied the teaser trailer. "Well, here it is. Fubar will kick your ass and make you laugh – and not just for two hours. You get a whole season. It’s been a joy to work with Nick, Skydance, and Netflix to give my fans exactly what they’ve been waiting for."

FUBAR Stars Top Gun, Terminator Alums

While specific plot details for FUBAR are being classified as top secret, the logline for the upcoming spy adventure series reads as follows: "A CIA operative on the verge of retirement discovers a family secret. Forced to go back into the field for one last job, FUBAR tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, action and humor." Schwarzenegger will play the CIA operative while Monica Barbaro, who recently starred opposite Tom Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick, will play his daughter Emma, who also works for the CIA.
