Army of the Dead star Dave Bautista thinks he'd fare pretty well in a zombie apocalypse.

"I think I'd be OK. I'm unintentionally prepared," the actor told Vulture. "I'm not a prepper or anything, but my home is like a fortress and a lot of my life is really geared toward protecting myself from bad weather."

He added that the type of supplies he already has in the house "also works for zombie apocalypses," noting, "I have a hurricane shelter, I have a big gate and trucks and jeeps with four-wheel drive."

Bautista also shared that he owns a thousand-gallon generator, as well as some food stored away, just in case. "I think I’d be okay initially," he continued. "...It's long-term that I'd have a few concerns."

The actor's comments about surviving an apocalypse came shortly after his Army of the Dead co-stars Ana de la Reguera and Raúl Castillo shared their own survival tips. Specifically, de la Reguera warned potential zombie killers to "not be horny." She also suggested that anyone looking to take out zombies should go into battle with Bautista.

"At least that's what worked for me," de la Reguera, who portrays Maria Cruz in the film, said at the time. "Alternately you can find someone as big as him, he was like a wall! That's all you need!" Meanwhile, Castillo added, "Grenades also really come in handy! If you're going to battle zombies, having a few handfuls of grenades is the way to go."

Army of the Dead takes place following a zombie outbreak that has left Las Vegas in ruins and walled off from the rest of the world. When Scott Ward, a former zombie war hero who’s now flipping burgers on the outskirts of the town he now calls home, is approached by casino boss Bly Tanaka (Hiroyuki Sanada), it’s with the ultimate proposition: break into the zombie-infested quarantine zone to retrieve $200 million sitting in a vault beneath the strip before the city is nuked by the government in 32 hours. With little left to lose, Ward takes on the challenge, assembling a ragtag team of experts for the heist. With a ticking clock, a notoriously impenetrable vault, and a smarter, faster horde of Alpha zombies closing in, only one thing's for certain in the greatest heist ever attempted: survivors take all.

Directed and co-written by Zack Snyder, Army of the Dead stars Dave Bautista, Garret Dillahunt, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Raul Castillo, Tig Notaro, Theo Rossi and Ana de la Reguera. The film is now streaming on Netflix.
