Director Zack Snyder has released a new behind-the-scenes photo for his upcoming Netflix horror film Army of the Dead.
On his official Twitter account, Snyder thanked Red Digital Cinema president and co-owner Jarred Land for the cameras used in production. Attached to Snyder's tweet is a photo, which shows the director using one of the cameras in what appears to be a destroyed vehicle, with two skeletons making a cameo.
Army of the Dead is a spiritual successor, of sorts, to the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead -- Snyder's directorial debut. The film revolves around a group of mercenaries who attempt to pull off the heist of the century during a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas.
Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell and Garret Dillahunt, among others, will star in the film. Army of the Dead's screenplay comes from Joby Harold and Shay Hatten, and is based on a story by Snyder. He and his wife, Deborah Snyder, will produce the film with Wesley Coller through their production company The Stone Quarry.
Army of the Dead is filming this summer, based on a story by Zack Snyder and a screenplay from Joby Harold, who recently wrote King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
