Since it premiered on Disney+, The Mandalorian has indisputably added one breakout star to the Star Wars universe: Baby Yoda, the sweet alien infant adopted by the titular bounty hunter. He's been all over merchandise, art and memes...and now he's on a tank. The official Twitter account of the U.S. Army posted a photo of its new armored vehicles, one of which had its name clearly printed on its gun: BABY YODA. The accompanying text provided some basic information about the weapons and their operations, with only the hashtag #MayTheForceBeWithYou to acknowledge the mischievous tribute to the character shown in the image.RELATED: The Mandalorian: Hot Toys’ Baby Yoda Is the Cutest Bobble Head Ever

Incongruous as the name may seem, the show does provide some evidence that Baby Yoda - officially called "The Child" in spite of how he was dubbed by fans - is extremely powerful, so a tank might be a fitting comparison.

The Army's tweet included one more hashtag, #ReadyToFight, which might end up describing the life of Mando and the Child when they return for Season 2. However, the most likely possibility is that the name was chosen for the sake of the smiles it would bring to everyone who loves Baby Yoda.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte. The entire first season is available to stream on Disney+. Season 2 will premiere in October.
