Rocksteady Studios isn't the only developer with a new DC video game on the horizon.

WB Games Montréal -- the developer behind 2013's Batman: Arkham Origins -- will have a presence at the upcoming 24-hour DC FanDome virtual convention, during which it is slated to make a special announcement regarding a new game. The "Warner Bros. Games Montreal Announcement" will take place in the Hall of Heroes section of DC FanDome on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 1:30 p.m. In addition to the announcement itself, the new game's developers will take part in a Q&A session. Notably, the company was recently rumored to have a new Batman game in the works.

The Batman: Arkham series of games launched with Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009, followed by Batman: Arkham City in in 2011, Arkham Origins in 2013 and Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015. The main trilogy -- that is, Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight -- was developed by Rocksteady. Developed by WB Games Montréal, Arkham Origins is a prequel set prior to the events of Arkham Asylum, and was released in between Arkham City and Arkham Knight. Like WB Games Montréal, Rocksteady will take part in DC FanDome to properly reveal its recently-teased Suicide Squad game, titled Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
