"Who would have thought that today marks a whole decade since the release of Batman: Arkham City. It really doesn’t feel like that long ago. Thanks to all of our fans for being there for Gotham," writes Rocksteady Entertainment.

While Batman: Arkham City may be a whole 10 years old, it's still widely considered to be one of the best superhero games of all time. It was praised for meaningly building on the mechanics established by its predecessor, Batman: Arkham Asylum, while expanding on the world fans have come to dub the "Arkhamverse." The game's story chronicles the establishment of Arkham City, an old section of Gotham that's been cordoned off exclusively for prisoners and criminals. Trapped within its walls by Hugo Strange, Batman not only has to deal with The Joker infecting his blood with a deadly serum but needs to uncover who's really behind one of the worst ideas to grace the city planner's desk.

The game doesn't have a solid release date at the moment but will launch in 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
