Official Press Release

Phoenix, Ariz. – Atomic Comics, an Arizona-based comic book retailer, held its first Great Atomic Giveaway earlier this year in concert with the launch of its new Web site at www.atomiccomics.com. More than 70 prizes were awarded, with the grand prize of a trip to New York City to be editor-in-chief for a day of Marvel Comics going to Glendale, Ariz. resident Chris Genung.

"This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for any comic book fan," said Mike Malve, owner of Atomic Comics. "We really wanted to launch our new Web site in a big way and we were thrilled to be able to pull together such a unique and exciting package of prizes."

David Kryzys of River Grove, Ill. will be heading in the other direction, flying to Phoenix on Nov. 4 for a $1,000 shopping spree at Atomic Comics' store in Chandler, Ariz. Kryzys signed up for the contest at a comic book convention in Chicago this summer.
