With the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic causing entertainment production to shut down, FX announced the premiere of Archer Season 11 will not happen on May 6 as planned.

The acclaimed animated show has become the latest series to push its premiere date. Since the Hollywood shutdown, many productions, including live-action and animated, have been placed in jeopardy as they face scheduling and production issues.

"Due to production challenges and scheduling issues, season 11 of FXX’s Emmy award-winning animated comedy series Archer will no longer premiere on May 6th," FX Networks said in a statement. "FX will shift the premiere date to later this year."

Before the premiere was pushed back, Season 11 was scheduled to be a return to form as the titular super spy dealt with life after awakening from a three-year coma. The previous three seasons were revealed to be a series of dream sequences occurring in 1940s Los Angeles, the 1930s South Seas and the far-flung future in space.
