Archaia's <i>Bolivar</i> Graphic Novel Getting Animated By Warner Bros.

You can add Sean Rubin's Bolivar, the graphic novel from Archaia Entertainment, to the growing list of creator-owned comics being optioned for films even before they're released. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Warner Bros. picked has up the film rights for the book, which will be released in May 2013.

Bolivar, which Rubin is writing and drawing, revolves around a young girl named Sybil who moves to New York City only to discover that her next-door neighbor is none other than Bolivar, the last living dinosaur. Sybil wants to go on adventures with her new dino friend, but he prefers to stay out of the public eye.

The animated adaptation will be handled by Irish animator Kealan O'Rourke, best known for The Boy in the Bubble (check out the trailer below).
