Just as director James Wan and star Jason Momoa begin production on "Aquaman," a new casting announcement may shed a little more light on the film's plot: A new listing on IMDb reveals that Otis Dhanji will play Arthur Curry at age 13.

"Aquaman" will be Dhanji's first film role, but the Australian actor does have several stage credits. While the IMDb cast-list request has been removed, Screen Rant reports the young actor will shoot his scenes over six days. It was also revealed that Dhanji will appear in two key sequences, one to be filmed in May and the other in August, with the former being more substantial.

Although few concrete details are known about the film, star Momoa recently revealed that "Aquaman" will find the DC Comics hero coming to terms with both his abilities and his place in the world. Wan has characterized "Aquaman" as "a classic sort of swashbuckling action adventure, sort of high seas adventure story." Now, with Dhanji's casting, it's clear that the movie will also delve into Aquaman's childhood.

Opening Dec. 21, 2018, "Aquaman" stars Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.
