As the second highest-earning DC film to date, Aquaman has surpassed all expectations -- expectations that were low for a character that has been the subject of so much ridicule over the years. Other than the sheer magnetism of its star Jason Momoa, much of its success can be attributed to the film embracing a much lighter, campier feel than previous DCEU offerings. This spirit was whole-heartedly embraced by Momoa's co-star Patrick Wilson, who plays the movie's main antagonist King Orm -- aka Ocean Master -- to Momoa's heroic Arthur Curry. As Arthur's estranged half-brother, Orm isn't best-pleased by the sudden challenge to his birthright as Atlantis' ruler, and Wilson's performance is as big and loud as the film itself. How big and how loud? Well, for those with foggy memories, or for any in the minority of people that haven't seen the billion-dollar juggernaut, one Twitter user has compiled the villain's shoutiest moments into a glorious one-minute-long video.RELATED: Aquaman Passes Another Major Milestone at the Domestic Box Office

The video has so far amassed just over 15,000 views and, more importantly, attracted the attention and endorsement of Wilson himself. "This is really funny. Really good," the actor tweeted, even ribbing his own scenery-chewing style: "I sound like Chewbacca with voice lessons."

Speaking about the "amplification" of his performance as Ocean Master with The Hollywood Reporter, Wilson agreed that there was no point in straight-faced acting when your character is wearing a fish mask and riding a CGI tylosaur underwater. "There’s very much a heightened melodrama with these characters in the superhero world because you’re wearing a costume and a mask. I think you’re doing a disservice to the comic when you try to bring that down and make it naturalistic. I don’t think that embraces what a comic book is," he explained.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus and Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna. The film is now in theaters nationwide.
