With James Wan's Aquaman gearing up for its premiere later this month, the appropriately named Atlantis - the Palm hotel and resort in Dubai - is currently advertising Warner Bros.' upcoming aquatic superhero flick in a rather interesting way.
At the hotel's The Lost Chambers aquarium (specifically, the Ambassador Lagoon diving area), scuba divers and onlookers alike can catch a glimpse of an underwater statue of Jason Mamoa's Aquaman standing proudly in-costume with his trademark trident in hand.
A video posted to Reddit features several divers (as well as several sea creatures) swimming near and admiring the statue of the King of Atlantis himself.
The resort is well-known for its aquarium and has even integrated it into some of its hotel rooms. With that in mind, advertising a film such as Aquaman there seems like a no-brainer. It's unclear at this time how long the statue will stay up, but it appears that when it comes to marketing, Warner Bros. is nothing if not creative.
Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus and Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna. The film opens on Dec. 21.
