Power Rangers actor Ludi Lin has joined the cast of DC Films’ upcoming superhero movie Aquaman. According to Deadline, Lin will play Murk in the film, alongside Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. Murk is the leader of the Men-at-War, Atlantis’ army. Though he has, at times, been loyal to Aquaman, Murk is also known to have supported Aquaman’s brother Orm, the deceitful Ocean Master.
Lin recently played the Black Ranger in Dean Israelite’s modernized reboot of Power Rangers. Aquaman’s Murk marks the second major movie role for the actor, who got his on-screen start as Batbayer in the Netflix period drama Marco Polo.
Little is known about the plot of Aquaman. Momoa’s character has yet to be fully debuted on screen. While he has been featured in trailers and momentarily in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Aquaman will make his first full cinematic appearance in Justice League later this year.
Debuting in theaters on December 21, 2018, Aquaman is a production of DC Films directed by James Wan and starring Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna and Ludi Lin as Murk.
