Warner Bros. hasn't released an Aquaman trailer yet, but the movie is headed for theaters sooner than we thought.

The studio has confirmed that Aquaman will arrive in UK theaters on December 14 rather than the previously announced date of December 21, according to Digital Spy. Warner Bros. didn't comment on whether this affect the United States or global release date, but it makes sense that those dates may also be moved up; DCEU films usually come out on the same day in the UK and US, as was the case with both Justice League and Wonder Woman.

Previously, director James Wan explained to fans on Twitter that there were good reasons for the trailer's delay. "I am simply not ready yet to share," Wan explained. "This movie is filled to the gills with VFX, and the process is as slow and laborious as a sea-slug! Yes, even shots for the trailers take forever to do, and I refuse to put out anything that might be construed as subpar."

So far the screen tests for Aquaman have reportedly been positive, but that doesn't always equal a universally beloved movie; Suicide Squad tested well, but audiences were less than enthralled with the eventual theatrical release.

Aquaman stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temeura Morrison, Dolph Lundgren, Ludi Lin, Michael Beach, Nicole Kidman and Willem Dafoe.
