The remaining two episodes will then arrive on HBO Max on a weekly basis, with "Chapter Two: Primordeus" releasing on Oct. 21 and "Chapter Three: Tidal Shift" following suit on Oct. 28.

As revealed in a synopsis shared earlier this month, this playful take on the iconic DC superhero will be a three-part animated mini-series brimming with underwater adventure, action and lively animation. King of Atlantis sees a recently crowned Arthur Curry taking up the trident and proving his right to the throne as he takes on the likes of "unscrupulous surface dwellers, elder evils from beyond time and his own half-brother who wants to overthrow him." The animated series' first trailer debuted a few weeks ago.

King of Atlantis brings the voice talents of Cooper Andrews (The Walking Dead) as Aquaman alongside Gillian Jacobs (Community) as the water-powered princess warrior Mera and Thomas Lennon (Reno 911) as the scholarly Vulko. The director of Aquaman's most recent live-action appearance, James Wan, will be serving as an executive producer on the series, with Victor Courtright (ThunderCats Roar!) and Halpern-Graser (Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) on board as showrunners.
