Having already made a splash at the international box office, director James Wan's Aquaman rides into nationwide theatrical release this weekend on a wave of positive early reactions from fans and critics alike, which only improves the prospects of the sequel. But while the film has bee praised for making Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry it's focus, instead of its connections to the larger DC Extended Universe, that hasn't prevented its star from speculating about potential cameos in a follow-up.

During an interview with Collider, Momoa was asked which DC character he would have liked to see in the background of Aquaman. "I love Flash. I absolutely love Ezra [Miller]," the actor answered, naming his Justice League co-star. "He's like family to me, so just to have him on set..."

However, even the Aquaman star recognized a Flash appearance wouldn't be practical. "But you can't have Flash come strolling through the set," Momoa said. "It doesn't work."

When asked if The Flash is the superhero he would most want in a sequel, Momoa was quick to answer, "I think Wonder Woman would be pretty rad, too. Flash and Wonder Woman would be my first two. I don't want to pick one so I'll pick two."

Wonder Woman and Aquaman have fought side by side in the comic books many times before, most recently in the pages of the Justice League/Aquaman crossover "Drowned Earth." Given the cinematic success of the Amazon Princess and Aquaman's sure-to-be-a-hit status, we just might get to see Gal Gadot show up in Aquaman 2. All we'd need then is an Ezra Miller cameo.
