With DC's "Aquaman" solo film eyeing a production start in the spring, the cast of the film have started training. Just earlier this week we saw female lead Amber Heard showing off her swordsmanship in a training video. Now we have a video of "Aquaman" lead Jason Momoa doing just the same.
The footage was shot from a distance at 87eleven Action Design in Los Angeles, a training ground for stuntmen and action directors. The video shows Momoa going up against a number of opponents, training to swing his sword for the upcoming DC movie.
This further confirms that "Aquaman" will feature a lot of sword swinging. Both Momoa and Heard, who will play Mera in the film, have been seen training with sword stand-ins.
Directed by James Wan and starring Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Amber Heard (Mera), Patrick Wilson (Orm) and Willem Dafoe (Nuidis Vulko), “Aquaman” swims into theaters on October 5, 2018. Aquaman will next be seen in “Justice League,” which opens on November 17.
