Aquaman star Jason Momoa is hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend, and the latest promo for the episode shows off what he's been doing behind the scenes.
In the extended trailer, Momoa is roped into manning SNL's phones when the regular NBC page is pulled away by an emergency. Fortunately, Momoa is more than up to the task.
When a caller has a question he doesn't know the answer to, he uses all his superhero skills to get it. His heroics include punching Beck Bennett when he attempts to distract Momoa from his mission, using some snazzy dance moves to work his way through a network of laser tripwires and engaging in some serious computer hacking.
What's the answer to the caller's question? Saturday Night Live is, in fact, live.
After Momoa hangs up the phone, he realizes with trepidation that he's signed on to host a live show. Based on the promo, however, Momoa won't have any trouble making audiences laugh on Saturday night.
Momoa will host Saturday Night Live this Saturday, December 8, with musical guest Mumford & Sons.
He will be there to promote James Wan's Aquaman, which stars Momoa as the title character, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus and Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna. The film opens on Dec. 21.
