As fans eagerly await the King of the Seven Seas' first big-screen solo outing, "Aquaman" director James Wan has taken to Instagram to tease possible filming locations for the upcoming film.
Although Wan doesn't state where these photos were taken, we do know that "Aquaman" is set to film in at least two locations: Queensland, Australia and Sicily, Italy. Given the look of the terrain, it would appear that these photos are of the former.
At this point in time, "Aquaman" is still in pre-production, with official production set to begin on May 22. In the meantime, though, Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Amber Heard (Mera) continue to build up hype among fans, teasing videos of intense workouts and rigorous weapons training.
“Aquaman” will center on Aquaman as a reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis who is caught between land dwellers that are always polluting the globe and his own people who are ready to invade the surface.
Directed by James Wan and starring Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Amber Heard (Mera), Patrick Wilson (Orm) and Willem Dafoe (Nuidis Vulko), “Aquaman” surfs into theaters on October 5, 2018. However, the King of Atlantis will next be seen in “Justice League,” which opens on November 17.
