There are a lot of Easter eggs in director James Wan's Aquaman. However, it turns out one of the film's oddest Easter eggs is actually the result of Baby Driver director Edgar Wright. In an interview with Collider, Wan revealed that an Easter egg referencing the 1960s animated television show Stingray came about as a result from a tweet from Wright in 2016. "Let me tell you this," Wan said in response to a question about Easter eggs. "Two years ago, Edgar Wright tweeted me that, if you can get Stingray in there somewhere, I'm going to give you an Oscar. He said that to me. So guess what I did in this film? I put Stingray in there. So I'm waiting for Edgar to see the film and remind him of his tweet... It's a fun sort of inside joke with Edgar. That's more an Easter egg between he and I."RELATED: Aquaman Has Already Earned More Overseas Than Wonder Woman & Man of SteelWright addressed the bet on Twitter, writing "I have not seen [Aquaman] yet, but as I understand [James Wan] made good on this bet and now I owe him an Oscar." Wright then cc'd the official Twitter of the Academy Awards, asking for help.
