For the most part, Screen Junkies deals with two huge points in the movie -- how much action they piled into one movie about the King of the Seas and how sexy Jason Mamoa is, calling him a "sexy underwater Superman." The narrator even points out that Mamoa is so sexy that he even makes the orange and green costume look cool.
Along the way, they reveal how many different locations there were (mentioning 12 of them), how many different creatures were on display in the film's numerous fight scenes, the large number of explosive interruptions and how much Patrick Wilson screamed throughout the movie.
It is interesting to note there were five different times characters were interrupted when something behind them exploded. Plus, it is interesting that Aquaman's main power isn't talking to fish, but to "smolder." To add to the commentary, the narrator also wonders how James Wan can do anything in a sequel since he told every single Aquaman story in this one movie.
Finally, in the very end, they point out that, while there are very strong similarities between the basic story of Aquaman and Black Panther, the two movies are actually very different. See, Aquaman takes place underwater.
Aquaman brought in $334 million domestically and $1.14 billion worldwide. It finished its theatrical run as the second highest grossing DCEU film and the 20th biggest film worldwide.
Aquaman is available in digital HD now and Blu-ray and DVD on March 26. Directed by James Wan, the film stars Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus and Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna.
