Director James Wan seems intent on making Aquaman one of the most epic films of the DC Extended Universe. Ahead of this weekend's Comic-Con International in San Diego, the director has given fans a sneak peek at the film's upcoming trailer, teasing the whopping, epic scale of the film.

On his personal Twitter account, Wan shared a picture from inside the editing room, where his team is hard at work in putting the finishing touches to the Aquaman trailer set to debut this Saturday at SDCC 2018. The  single shot from the trailer features an Atlantean character which appears to be either King Atlan or Ocean Master, standing on the precipice of the water as they summon the might of a whale.

It's difficult to know which of the two characters Wan is teasing, but there is one thing the director is declaring, above all else: this film will be unique, and it will feature striking set pieces.

We'll know more about Aquaman when the trailer releases this Saturday during the DCEU panel, which is set to take place in the Hall H room of the massive pop culture convention. The panel begins at 10:30 am PST.
