Warner Bros.' latest addition to the DC Extended Universe, Aquaman, has hit yet another milestone at the domestic box office.

Variety is reporting that Aquaman managed to cross $200 million in North America, earning an additional $16.78 million on New Year's Day alone to bring it to $216 million. This makes it the fourth most successful New Year's Day film of all time, behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Avatar and Meet the Fockers. Aquaman helped make 2018 the most successful year at the box office in Hollywood history, edging out the former record set in 2016.
