Warner Bros. and DC Films' Aquaman 2 will see Jason Momoa joined by another Game of Thrones alum.

According to Deadline, Pilou Asbaek, who played Euron Greyjoy in Seasons 6-8 of the hit HBO series, is in talks to join the upcoming sequel in an undisclosed role.

The first Aquaman, released in 2018, saw Momoa's reluctant Arthur Curry take on Ocean Master and Black Manta in an effort to claim his birthright by becoming the rightful king of Atlantis. Details about the sequel are scarce, though Momoa explained in 2019 that he had much more creative input for his second solo superhero outing. "I came in with a big pitch," he said. "I came in with the whole thing mapped out, and [Warner Bros.] loved it."

According to Dolph Lundgren, who plays Nereus, filming on Aquaman 2 is expected to begin this summer.

Momoa's Aquaman can currently be seen in Zack Snyder's Justice League on HBO Max.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman 2 stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dolph Lundgren and Pilou Asbaek. The film arrives in theaters Dec. 16, 2022.
