For the first time ever, Apple TV will be available on Xbox consoles when Microsoft launches the new Xbox Series X|S later this month.

"When our all-new Xbox family of consoles launch worldwide on November 10, you'll have more than just the entertainment apps you enjoy today on Xbox One," Microsoft revealed in a press release. "We're excited to share that the Apple TV app is coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S."

In addition to the new Xbox consoles, PlayStation will also be offering Apple TV on its next-gen console, the PlayStation 5. Up until now, the app had never been offered on either gaming system. Experts believe its inclusion at launch will lead to a major boost in subscriptions and ultimately bring more attention to the Apple brand as a whole.

Apple TV users who purchase the next-gen consoles will be able to watch and listen to purchases they made through iTunes or their Apple devices. They currently are only able to do so using other streaming platforms such as Amazon Fire or Roku. A paid subscription for Apple TV costs $4.99 a month.
