Days after Servant's Season 2 trailer release, executive producer M. "I feel so lucky to announce @AppleTV is renewing #Servant for a season 3 before S2 even airs! Apple has been such a good partner & has always supported this show," Shayamalan shared on Twitter. "I've dreamed of telling this story in 40 parts. I know that's not guaranteed by any means so this is wonderful news," he added.

This marked the second time that Servant was renewed for a season before audiences saw the season prior. In November 2019, Apple TV+ renewed Servant for a Season 2, even before the premiere episode of the series aired on its streaming platform on Nov. 28, 2019.

Although no news was shared on the length of the third season, it's highly likely that Season 3 will follow in its prior seasons' footsteps and also be 10 episodes long. Based on Shyamalan's tweet above, it seems like the series is crafted to be four seasons long in total.

Shymalan also recently tweeted about his four-season goal for the series. "Goals: 1 story. 40 episodes. Written and directed by talented artists from around the world. Aspiring to hold each of the 40 episodes to the highest standards of cinema. #Servant Season 2 arrives January 15 on @appletv @Servant," he posted.

Season 2's official synopsis was also shared recently by Apple TV+ and reads,

Following its suspenseful season one finale, the second season takes a supernatural turn with a darker future for all lying ahead as Leanne returns to the brownstone and her true nature is revealed.

While Season 2's plot remains vague, the recently released trailer suggests things will take a supernatural turn soon.

Created by Tony Basgallop and directed and executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan, Servant stars Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Toby Kebbell (Kong: Skull Island, Fantastic Four, Black Mirror), Nell Tiger Free (Game of Thrones) and Rupert Grint (Harry Potter). The first of Season 2's 10 episodes will premiere on Jan. 15, followed by new episodes every Friday. Season 1 now streaming on Apple TV+.
