Apple is extending all trial subscriptions to AppleTV+ through next February, giving users additional months on free one-year subscriptions that begin expiring in October.

Additionally, users on paid monthly plans will get automatic credit on their Apple TV+ accounts up to February 2021. The extensions and credits are automatic, and users will get email notifications from Apple.

Apple users who own Apple TVs, Mac computers, iPhones, iPads or an iPod touch, will get free one-year trials to the Apple TV+ service. Users who bought the items since September 2019 and activated those accounts between Nov. 1 and Jan. 31, 2021 get the extension through Feb. 28. Users who activate during February are within the extension period. Those who have annual Apple TV+ plans automatically get credited, and annual plans due to renew between November and January 2021 will renew in February 2021, for free.

People who pay for monthly Apple TV plans between November and January 2021 will get equivalent credit in their accounts, usable for any Apple service they subscribe to, the App store or the iTunes store. Users who switch to an Apple One bundle offering will also get the credits.

The one-year free subscription comes with Family Sharing, which allows up to six family members to use the account.
