Apple's Foundation Series Lands Chernobyl, Guardians of the Galaxy Stars

Lee Pace and Jared Harris have joined the cast of Foundation, an upcoming Apple TV + series based on the popular Issac Asimov novel of the same name.

Pace, who appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ronan the Accuser in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy and 2019's Captain Marvel, is playing a character named Brother Day in Foundation while Chernobyl's Jared Harris will play Hari Shelton. In the book, Hari is an intelligent mathematics professor that is sometimes called "Raven."

In addition to his role in the MCU, Pace also played the Elvenking Thranduil in The Hobbit. Pace has also appeared in ABC's Pushing Daisies and AMC's Halt and Catch Fire

Jared Harris has starred in many different television programs throughout his career, including The Terror, The Expanse and Carnival Row. The actor also has a role in the upcoming Jared Leto-led film Morbius from Sony Pictures.

Foundation is now in pre-production. Josh Friedman, who wrote 2019's Terminator: Dark Fate, was once a co-writer on the series, but left in April. Batman Begins screenwriter David S. Goyer will serve as a writer on the Apple series.
