Although there are still a few weeks left on Season 7, Apex Legends players are already looking forward to Season 8. With the Fight Night collection event underway, a prominent data miner has uncovered new information regarding the upcoming season and, more specifically, Season 8's Anniversary collection event.According to Shrugtal, an Apex Legends leaker known for accurate leaks, the Anniversary collection event awards completionists with 150 Heirloom Shards to spend on any previously released Heirloom. Players will still need to open enough packs to complete the collection. However, the model offers choice instead of forcing a particular Heirloom as done in past collection events.Related: Apex Legends: What the Lore Says About These Romantic Ships

The downside to the Anniversary Event: No new Heirloom. The Fight Night event introduced Gibraltar's Heirloom, which joined the six already available in-game. Although some players may mourn the Heirloom, new Season 8 cosmetics may offset some of the heartache. According to Shrugtal, all legends--except the three most recent: Loba, Rampart, and Horizon--will be getting an "Anniversary" recolor. All the Iron Crown legendary skins from the Season 2 event, excluding Wattson, are also rumored to receive recolors in Season 8 under the codename "Eoswar."

Shrugtal posted images of the untextured skins set for recolor on his Twitter, along with Bangalore and Lifeline's full recolors. Bangalore's Anniversary skin hints at a red and black recolor of the Outlands Warrior skin and Lifeline's Anniversary From the Ashes recolor makes for a sinister devil-inspired look. The Charge Rifle's Bone Saw skin was also recolored. With the new weapon skin matching Bangalore and Lifeline's recolor, it appears devs are aiming for a firey molded-in-magma-theme.

Apex Legends - Mirage Voyage

Along with cosmetics, "sound triggers" may indicate the return of Mirage Voyage in Season 8. Although it seems the ship may be migrating from World's Edge to Kings Canyon. Shrugtal believes Mirage Voyage is "currently situated and hidden on the current map file version of Kings Canyon, over the remnants of Skull Town."

The fan-favorite ship was removed back in Season 6 with no indication of where it went. Even Mirage seemed to be left out of the loop. The Apex Legends' Holo-Day Bash 2020 trailer concludes with Mirage studying the spot his ship used to be and saying, "Hey, wait, where's my boat?" Upon the trailer's release, many fans suspected the Holo-Day Bash event would mark the grand reappearance of Mirage Voyage but were disappointed when it did not.

While Apex players gear up for Season 8, it's important to remember these leaks are subject to change, despite coming from a reputable source. As exemplified in Apex Legends' previous seasons, Respawn is infamous for changing things before an update's official release. If Shrugtal's finds turn out to be accurate, Season 8's Anniversary collection event acts as a prime opportunity for players to snag a skin they may have missed out in the past.
