Apex Legends is fresh into Season 8. While players are still learning the ins and outs of the updated Kings Canyon map and getting the hang of the new legend, Fuse, Respawn dropped a trailer for its upcoming Anniversary Collection Event. The event runs from Feb. 9 to Feb. 23 in honor of the battle royale's two-year anniversary.

Respawn will be ushering in nostalgia by bringing back the fan-favorite Locked and Loaded LTM. In this mode, players spawn with a full set of gear, including a White Evo Shield, White Backpack, a level one Mozambique and some healing items. Players can still collect loot, Rare or above, which will be scattered around the map as usual. Dropping with a weapon allows players to jump immediately into battle instead of fussing with early looting, making games quick and exciting.

Apex Legends - Anniversary Collection Event recolored cosmetics

Along with the action-packed LTM, the Collection Event features an impressive Prize Tracker that players can advance through by taking part in event-related challenges. There are 22 earnable items, including two Event Packs and 10 Apex Packs. Any players that just log in during the Collection Event will automatically receive three Bangalore stat trackers, a free Apex Pack and an event badge as a reward.

As with most Collection Events, the cosmetics are the main attraction and the Anniversary Event is no exception. If they looked familiar in the trailer, that's because they are. To celebrate two years of Apex Legends, Respawn has recolored 24 fan-favorite skins from previous seasons. All the new recolors have been updated with a red and gold styling, offering players the opportunity to snag some limited-time skins they may have missed in the past.

Apex Legends - Anniversary Collection Event bundles

Although past Collection Events have historically brought a new Heirloom release, Respawn is doing things a little differently this time. Completing the Anniversary Collection Event guarantees 150 Heirloom Shards that can be used to purchase any previously released Heirloom. Each item's crafting cost has been reduced by 50 percent, making Shards more attainable than ever before.

Players that get all items early will receive 700 Apex Coins per each subsequent Event Pack opened. New bundles will also be dropping in the store, including the Pure Fire seven-pack bundles, the Blood Moon three-pack bundle, the Mecha Over Matter bundle and the Hunt and Run bundle.

Apex Legends Anniversary Collection Event may not offer much in terms of novelty, but it's a great occasion to stock up on some sweet cosmetics and nab a few free goodies while celebrating two years of the acclaimed battle royale.

Developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by EA, Apex Legends Anniversary Collection Event will be live from Feb. 9 to Feb. 23.
