Fresh off directing The Equalizer 2, filmmaker Antoine Fuqua may be setting his sights on a comic book movie next.

The popular director confirmed he has already met with Sony to discuss potentially helming the studio's solo Morbius film but also teased that he may soon meet with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige to discuss helming a feature for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"I’ve been approached about it," Fuqua confirmed in an interview with Hey U Guys. "For me, it has to be the right one, in the right situation, because there’s so much visual effects going on and – ‘Where’s the director in it all?’"

Fuqua had previously directed MCU stars Chris Pratt and Vincent D'Onofrio in 2016's remake of The Magnificent Seven. Now with his latest film, The Equalizer 2, completed, the popular director is looking for his next project.

"Sony asked me to do Morbius. I’m going to have a meeting with Kevin [Feige] soon," Fuqua continued. "Just talking.

In the meantime, no matter how talks with Sony and Marvel Studios go, fans can watch Fuqua's latest work with The Equalizer 2 starring Denzel Washington, Ashton Sanders, Pedro Pascal, Melissa Leo, Bill Pullman, and Eminem out in theaters everywhere now.
