A new trailer for Anthem introduces the story for the upcoming video game.
Anthem is the newest game from BioWare, the creators of Mass Effect and Destiny. The game promises to be an expansion of the space exploration adventure genre, offering players a massive open world for them to explore. Players will be able to work together in their Javelins, robotic exo-suits that are reportedly totally customizable.
Much of the single player experience has been kept under wraps up until now, but a newly released gameplay cinematic trailer has been posted to YouTube. It sets up the potential power of the mysterious Anthem, which is supposedly strong enough to ruin civilizations all on its own. Now, some dark and imposing figure has managed to claim it, sending a legion of creatures and threats against the human stronghold of Fort Tarsis.
The trailer effectively introduces the world and the threats within, and it gives players a tease at the kind of battles they’ll need to suit up for. Check out the trailer below.
Published by Electronic Arts and developed by BioWare, Anthem is scheduled to be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Feb. 22, 2019.
