In the lead up to the release of Avengers: Endgame, the internet was rife with thousands of ideas over how Thanos would be defeated by the heroes. Strangely enough, the most widespread notion was that Ant-Man would be the one to kill Thanos.

This theory gathered so much steam that Paul Rudd ended up being questioned in every press junket if Ant-Man really was Thanos’ reckoning. Even now, when we know that Thanos didn’t even interact with Ant-Man, people are adamant that the superhero would’ve had the Titan’s number. We agree with them, too, and have compiled 10 ways that it would be possible. Bear in mind, though, that these have been prepared with a touch of humor, so you have to expect sillier entries and be open to the possibilities.

10 Enlarge Himself While Inside Thanos

Let’s get the most obvious and popular one out from the start, and theorize a scenario where Ant-Man enters Thanos and then proceeds to expand himself. Avengers: Endgame’s writers have argued that Thanos’ insides are too durable for Ant-Man to enlarge, but that was clearly a joke reply.

We saw Ant-Man break apart the building of the Avengers facility, and there’s no way Thanos is more durable than an entire building, meaning there was definitely a chance to finish the Titan off from by exploding (or is it imploding?) him from within. Now, the matter of entering Thanos from his rectum is another case entirely.

9 Drown Thanos

Hulk almost perishing by drowning near the end of Avengers: Endgame made it clear that enough rubble can effectively incapacitate an extremely strong being. Using this logic, Ant-Man can bury Thanos under a heap of rubble, and then start filling that spot up with water. There would be nowhere for Thanos to go except drown.

Another method would be where Ant-Man simply clutches Thanos in his grasp and thrusts his body underwater. Ant-Man is enormous enough to keep his head on the surface, while Thanos would have no defense in this situation and would end up drowning underwater.

8 Take Away The Gauntlet And Leave Him Exposed To Doctor Strange

This might be vague, but it opens up so many possible ways for Thanos to be killed. For instance, we saw the heroes on Titan have Thanos incapacitated and nearly defeated until Star-Lord messed things up. Having Ant-Man there would be an excellent way to keep the Gauntlet far away from Thanos.

Ant-Man could shrink and fit himself inside the Gauntlet to run away with it, or he could become enormous and wrench it out of Thanos’ grasp, making the way clear for superheroes like Doctor Strange to easily beat Thanos, as the latter only beat Strange because he’d had the Gauntlet with him.

7 Trap Thanos In The Quantum Realm And Shrink Him To Death

Ant-Man almost was left trapped in the Quantum Realm in the titular movie, when the final fight saw him shrink to exponential levels. It was sheer luck that enabled him to come back, and that was only possible because he had the means to expand.

In this scenario, all Ant-Man would have to do is to set the shrinking meter to keep on reducing, and then latch it onto Thanos. This way, Thanos would just continually shrink into the Quantum Realm; and without any means to grow back in size, it would mean Thanos would shrink into nothingness.

6 Throw Thanos Into Space

There’s nothing to suggest that Thanos can breathe in space, making it an easy case for Ant-Man’s victory, as all he’d need to do is become a giant, pick up Thanos, and then fling him as hard as he can into space.

This is pretty much a 100% guarantee in victory chances because Thanos can’t fly either, so he would just keep on going into the atmosphere before arriving into space. Since he can’t survive the conditions of space, Thanos would die instantly. Ant-Man can become a giant to mind-boggling levels, so he shouldn’t have a problem getting near touching distance to the atmosphere to throw Thanos into.

5 Eat Thanos

Well, wouldn’t that be a weirdly easy way to get the victory; all Ant-Man would need to do is chew the Titan into his belly. Since Thanos would be the size of an insect compared to Ant-Man in giant form, he could easily fit into the latter’s mouth.

From there on, we don’t need to spell everything out to you, as it’s pretty clear that Ant-Man would have a task ahead of him in ensuring he got all of Thanos to chew down into pieces in order to avoid the chance of Thanos bursting out of Ant-Man’s intestines or something. Thanos would probably not taste good, but it would be worth eating him for the sake of the universe.

4 Go Into Thanos' Brain And Pop It

Like all beings, Thanos does have a brain in his skull, making it a highly vulnerable area to attack. Usually, his thick skull is good enough to avoid the brain being exposed, but Ant-Man won’t need to crush Thanos’ skull; he could go to the brain from inside Thanos.

The ear would be the easiest access point, with Ant-Man only needing to navigate a bit before reaching the brain. From there on out, it’s easy pickings for Ant-Man, and all he’ll need to do is burst a couple of Thanos’ veins in his brain and it’s an easy kill of the Titan.

3 Go Into Thanos' Blood Stream And Poison Him

If going inside the brain seems like a difficult task, then Ant-Man can opt for the easier route of Thanos’ bloodstream. We saw Iron Man hit Thanos hard enough to make him bleed, and an opening like this would be all Ant-Man would need to get inside Thanos’ veins.

Once entered, Ant-Man could make use of venom that he’d release in Thanos’ blood. After that, it’s mission accomplished because the venom’s effects would only take a few minutes to kick in. Another easy victory would be to release a bubble in Thanos’ blood, and we’d see a dead Thanos within thirty seconds.

2 Pick Thanos Up And Rip Him

This does sound rather childish when we suggest it, but who’s to say this won’t work? Ant-Man’s size increase also increases his strength, and being a giant that can towers over everything would mean Ant-Man would have gotten insanely strong - he did punch a Chitauri Leviathan like it was nothing.

So, all Ant-Man would need to do is pick Thanos up, and then use both hands to try and rip the Titan in two. Ant-Man would have all the time in the word, so sooner or later Thanos would be getting ripped apart in Ant-Man’s hands.

1 Stomp On Him

A lot of the times all that is needed is a simple approach and you’re good to go. In this way, Ant-Man’s victory would be done and dusted if he positioned himself right as a giant, and then stomped on Thanos to crush him to death.

And we’re not saying just one stomp would do the trick, what we want is for Ant-Man to shove his foot down on Thanos, and then do some squishing with his heel to make sure Thanos had no chance of survival. Alternatively, he could just jump on Thanos repeatedly to trample him. The stomp option worked like a charm against Cull Obsidian in Avengers: Endgame, so there’s proven precedent for this suggestion.
