In 2015's Ant-Man, Scott Lang bestowed a trusted insect ally with the name of Antony as it became his winged steed. That practice continues in the sequel, Ant-Man and The Wasp. The latest TV spot introduces to a new member of Scott's ant family, Antonio Banderas.
Unfortunately, this comes just moments after a pint-sized Scott has a bad experience summoning ants at the pier, where a seagull is nothing if not persistent. And as it turns out, not even a carpenter ant named Antonio Banderas is immune to the hunger of a seagull.
Ant-Man and The Wasp arriving in U.S. theaters next week, on the heels of largely positive early reactions to the Marvel Studios sequel. Not only has Evangeline Lilly's Hope van Dyne been praised, but attention has been paid to the film's humor. During Monday night's red carpet premiere, more details were revealed about the film, such as that Scott and Hope haven't spoken at all in the years after they tried to start a relationship.
In theaters July 6, Ant-Man and The Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, Hannah John-Kamen, Abby Ryder Fortson, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne.
