As promised by its title, Ant-Man and the Wasp, the Marvel Studios sequel isn't only Scott Lang's story, but instead, as star Paul Rudd elaborates, will explore his character's burgeoning relationship with Evangeline Lilly's Hope van Dyne.

"We're a team," Rudd told Variety. "In the comics that was the same story: Ant-Man and Wasp were together. ... We just finished shooting, and so we'll see what the final movie is ... but we're very much partners."

A sequel to 2015's Ant-Man, director Peyton Reed's film features not only Lilly stepping into her new role as the Wasp, but also newcomer Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne. As alluded to in the first movie, Janet originally fought alongside Michael Douglas' Hank Pym during his superhero heyday, and Reed has promised that her character will have a vital role to play in the upcoming sequel.
