As promised at Monday night's red-carpet premiere of Black Panther, Marvel Studios has released the teaser trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp, which brings together Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne as partners, and unleashes a giant-size Hello Kitty Pez dispenser.

The first footage from director Peyton Reed's sequel not only tackles the fallout from the events of Captain America: Civil War, with Paul Rudd's Scott Lang now under home confinement, and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), pursued by the government, it also -- as we expect from the title alone -- fully introduces Hope as the high-flying, butt-kicking Wasp.

We also catch glimpses of Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost and Laurence Fishburne as Bill Foster, and the return of Giant-Man -- and not only in Civil War flashbacks.

The teaser also gives the sense that -- again, as we might expect -- the nascent partnership between Ant-Man and The Wasp is likely to be bumpy, as Hope points out to Scott if he'd asked her to help Captain America, he'd likely wouldn't have been arrested. It's tough to argue with that.

Opening July 6, director Peyton Reed's Ant-Man and the Wasp stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Judy Greer as Maggie, Bobby Canavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, T.I. as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Laurence Fishburne as Bill Foster.
