Marvel's Ant-Man and The Wasp made a big impact on Tuesday with the debut of its teaser trailer, and now the momentum continues with the first look at Hasbro's upcoming replicas of the heroes' masks. For children ... of course.
The plastic Ant-Man mask comes equipped with three lenses to give the wearer the experience of "3-in-1" vision, conveniently activated with the twist of a knob: Red Vision, Ant Vision and Quantum Vision. Each lens corresponds with how "big" Ant-Man is, although children sadly won't actually be able to communicate with ants in Ant Vision. Wasp's mask only has the one lens, but is based on the design of Hope van Dyne's costume. Both will be available for purchase this spring.
In addition to the masks, Hasbro will release four action figures of Ant-Man and The Wasp. Each hero will have a 12-inch figure, and another that highlights individual abilities. Ant-Man's second figure comes with a "quantum ship" and launcher that shoots out a smaller version. The Wasp's second figure allows her wings to flutter when her legs are squeezed; it also has two stinger accessories. Like the masks, the toys will be released in the spring.
In theaters July 6, director Peyton Reed's Ant-Man & the Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña, Hannah John-Kamen, Laurence Fishburne, Michelle Pfeiffer, Walton Goggins, Randall Park, Judy Greer, Bobby Cannavale and Michael Douglas.
