Up, up and away! In a new photo from Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne take flight -- Scott on his ant steed and Hope with her Wasp wings.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, which released the photos, Hope van Dyne actor Evangeline Lilly discussed the importance of Wasp being the first Marvel hero to have her name in the title. “It means a lot to me,” she shared. “If I’m honest with myself, I feel a lot of pressure to make sure that it is everything that the world wants it to be.”
Lilly also weighed in on her character's personal stakes in the film. “Scott entered the Quantum Realm in the first film and came back, which is something they thought was impossible,” she explained. “The question has arisen, ‘Can Janet come back?’ So the entire film, my character is hell-bent on finding a way to get into the Quantum Realm and bring her back.”
Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man and The Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Hannah John-Kamen, Randall Park and Walton Goggins. The film opens July 6.
