Advanced Ideas Mechanics, better known to comic book readers as AIM, nearly played a role in this year's Ant-Man and The Wasp.

New concept art has surfaced showing the titular superhero duo in action against AIM in an unused sequence from the film. As Scott Lang enlarges a normally-microscopic Tardigrade from the Quantum Realm to attack, the agents of AIM are seen wearing their iconic yellow "beekeeper" outfits for the first time.

"An unused idea/scene pitch for Ant-Man and The Wasp, once Ant-Man returns from the Quantum Realm, I thought a fun gag would be having him toss his new friend tardigrade at the baddies Pokémon style!" revealed concept artist Ian Joyner in a post on ArtStation. " I also attempted to sneak the classic A.I.M. ‘Bee Keeper’ guys into something that might work in the MCU (nothing like this was in the script, just a fun little brainstorm). The fantastic Andy Park was our leader on this adventure!"

First introduced in 2013's Iron Man 3, AIM has yet to make another major appearance in the MCU while the classic uniforms have yet to appear at all. As revealed by Joyner, AIM were not included in the final script for the latest MCU film but the concept art offers a glimpse at another element of the comics potentially coming to life.
