This week marks the release of the MCU's Ant-Man and The Wasp on Blu-ray and DVD and to help celebrate the home video release, a new piece of early concept art from the film has been released online.

Marvel Studios Senior Concept Illustrator Jackson Sze posted unused concept art from the sequel on his Instagram account this past Tuesday showing a radically different design for Michelle Pfeiffer's Janet Van Dyne.

While still wearing remnants of her outfit as the original Wasp, Van Dyne's early design had the character much more bonded to the Quantum Realm exhibiting an otherworldly glow while wielding a mysterious, magical staff.

The final design had Pfeiffer's character sporting a much more sci-fi design though survivalist elements in her costume from being stranded in the Quantum Realm for over 30 years made it into the final film.
