A new character may be joining Ant-Man and The Wasp's next adventure, as a report suggests Marvel Studios is casting a mystery character for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

According to Murphy's Multiverse, Marvel is looking to cast female actors of any ethnicity in the 9-12 age range to play this currently unnamed character. In addition, said character is stated to be 10 years old, while the studio is also looking for young actors who are skilled in comedy, singing and dancing.

This new character is not the only addition to the upcoming film's cast. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will also see Kathryn Newton take over the role of Scott Lang's daughter Cassie, as well as the introduction of Kang the Conqueror into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Jonathan Majors playing the villain. The movie will also see Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprise their roles as the titular insect-themed superheroes, along with Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer as the original Ant-Man and The Wasp Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, respectively.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is currently set for a 2023 release, with production on Ant-Man 3 beginning in London and Atlanta on May 31, starting at the same time as fellow upcoming MCU film The Marvels, originally titled Captain Marvel 2.

Directed by Peyton Reed, Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang and Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror. The film arrives in theaters Feb. 17, 2023.
