In addition to releasing the first trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp earlier this morning, Marvel Studios has debuted the film's first official poster.
Both titular heroes are able to shrink down to microscopic size, and the poster riffs on that ability by showing them at their tiniest, not unlike the initial posters for the original film. It also emphasizes the tagline that debuted in the trailer, emphasizing these are "Real heroes. Not actual size."
The new film will take place after the events of Captain America: Civil War, but before all the catastrophic action in Avengers: Infinity War. Having been broken out of prison, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) finds himself on house arrest, only to be drawn back into the superhero lifestyle when he's contacted by Hope van Dyne (Evangelline Lilly). Using their super suits, the two will evade government agents and multiple enemies all while searching for Hope's mother Janet, the original Was who isp believed to be in the subatomic quantum realm of the Microverse.
Shrinking and growing into theaters on July 6, Ant-Man & the Wasp stars Paul and Lilly, along with Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Judy Greer as Maggie, Bobby Canavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, T.I. as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Laurence Fishburne as Bill Foster.
